Everybody is welcome
We make research and conservation available for everyone. Don´t be afraid of helping in a biological station, of course we work very seriously but we believe that everyone can contribute in a certain way. Come and discover this beautiful forest and the working in the field. Volunteers will help with the main projects and activities. Activities include maintaining the conservation area, wildlife monitoring (e.g. behavioral studies, camera trapping, mammal transects, pitfall traps, phenology study), habitat evaluation (vegetation plots), assisting researchers and other activities to maintain the station. |

Since 2018, we've maintained our prices to make them more accessible to everyone. But in 2026, with so many changes, we've had to adjust our prices to meet our conservation goals. However, our proposal remains significantly lower compared to similar projects in the area. The quality and experience remain unmatched. Furthermore, we have improved facilities and a highly qualified staff.

Requirements - Fees 2026
• 18 years or older • Interested in conservation • Motivated and able to work in a team • A good physical condition • Travel insurance • Able to stay for at least 1 week • Fees: 500 US$ - 1 week 800 US$ - 2 week 1100 US$ - 3 week 1400 US$ 1 month - --> then 300 US$ per extra week after the first month - --> then 250 US$ per extra week after the second month |
Included
3 meals per day, filtered water, fruit, shared accommodation, bed sheets, mosquito nets, field training, and internet-wifi. Boat scheduled transport to and from the station - Arrivals Wednesday and Sunday, boat leave the city 3pm -Departure Wednesday and saturday, boat arrive to the city 9.30am Not included Flight tickets, personal transport, travel insurance, personal medicines, laundry service, snacks. When available, we can lend rubber boots up to size 43. |
Accommodation
In our station we use green energy (solar energy) according to minimalize our impact on the environment. We try to buy only locally produced vegetables and fruits. You will stay in a comfortable bungalow with clean water and electricity. The bungalows are open so you can enjoy the beautiful view and sounds of the forest. Each bungalow provides a comfortable sleeping space for 1-4 people and has a private shower and toilet. We also offer private bungalows, let us know if you prefer a private bungalow. Further, we have a well equipped kitchen, a spacious living room, a study area and a hammock area with river view where you can rest after the activities.
